What’s the Guidecentral Maker Program?

The Maker Program lets you earn money by sharing your DIY projects through the Guidecentral iOS app. Earn up to $7 every time you create and share a new DIY project with the Guidecentral community!

Who can join?

Anyone can apply to become a member of the Maker Program! There are a few things to keep in mind when submitting your application:

How can I apply?

You can apply by downloading our free app and filling out the Maker Program application form. If you don’t have an iOS device, you can apply using our web form.

Can I apply if I don’t have an Apple device?

Yes, we can help you uploading guides to Guidecentral even if you don’t have an iOS device. If you fulfill all the requirements listed above, we’d be happy to consider you as a candidate for the Maker Program. Send us an email for detailed instructions.

Do I need to sign up to Guidecentral to become a PRO Maker?

Yes, you need to sign up to Guidecentral to become a member of the Maker Program. At the moment you can sign up with your email address, Facebook and Twitter.

How much money can I earn?

There’s no limit! You’ll earn $7 for every new guide that’s approved for payment. Some Makers are already earning more than $300 a month!

When do I receive the money?

You can manage your earnings from your Guidecentral profile and withdraw your money once you’ve reached a minimum of $50. The funds will be transferred directly to your PayPal account.

Will others see that I’m a member of the Maker Program?

Yes, you’ll receive a “PRO” Maker badge, which will appear within your profile image. It’ll show the community that you’re a high quality content provider and will help you gain more followers.

What makes a high quality guide on Guidecentral?

Imagine you’re explaining this to a beginner - what does he/she have to pay attention to when replicating your project? Here are some guidelines and a few examples of great guides:

Who owns the content I upload to Guidecentral?

You own all the content you add to Guidecentral. On publishing a guide, each user remains the owner and is responsible for the guide but licences the content to us.

Can I embed my guides elsewhere on the web?

Yes, you can embed any guide on the web within a blog or custom site. The embed works differently depending on your blogging platform (Blogger, Wordpress, Tumblr, etc) so head over to our embed information page to check out the instructions.

What if I don’t want to be a PRO maker anymore?

You can cancel your membership by sending us an email.
